Mac vs. PC vs. Me

I'm a PC and my girlfriend is a Mac. I've been PC since I was 4 years old and my dad bought a Commodore c64 from Service Merchandise and I started programming the bouncing yellow ball. So imagine my dismay when my PC crash (not the PC's fault, my foots fault) and I was reduced to using my girlfriend's Mac Book until the PC was repaired. The first thing I did was install Windows XP using Boot Camp. And Away I went.

At first I was frustrated with the lack of a right mouse button on the touch pad, the fact that you can't click something by simply tapping the touch pad, you have to use the button. Because I didn't have any other options I drudged through it.

After a few weeks of working and editing on the Mac Book using Win XP, I started to realize that Windows was running faster on this angelic white Mac Book. Not only that, but running Adobe Premiere CS4 went off with out a hitch and I was surprised at how smooth the HD video I was editing played back with live rendering. Something my bulky PC desktop wasn't not keen on doing. Then something extraordinary happened that sent me over the edge. I discovered that with Premiere CS4 you can export Final Cut Pro projects in xml into CS4, only on a Mac. I was floored because I am a Premiere guy and hate Final Cut. But I work with a lot of editors and studios that use Final Cut. Now I have the ability to move back and fourth in both.

So what does this mean? I'm buying a Macbook Pro and running Windows 7 on it. I know, I know. But I'll never buy an iPhone... at least not yet.
